Rosalie says she went to school to be
an accountant, but they make her do everything from coffee to
cleaning. She openly admits that she hopes one day they’ll work for someone who doesn’t
appreciate them, doesn’t pay them well, and abuses them. She
says the girls that work there are whiners. I tell her most girls
are, but we all grow out of it. She says she works for bad
people. Then she says, at least I have my health. There you go,
I say. That’s the spirit. Then she says, except my heart.
It doesn’t beat quite right. I make a sympathetic sound and she
says See? You thought you had problems.
